About

My name is Camille Mori, I’m a runner and writer, passionate about sustainability and conscious consumerism. I grew up in Japan and went to high school in Hawai’i, and have always had my head in the clouds thinking about my ideal world and my impact on others. Rooted in compassion towards others and being kind to mother earth, I studied Japanese Buddhism at the University of Hawai’i to understand my family heritage – I’m a quarter Japanese and my relatives are Buddhist priests. I then shifted my focus to pursue a career in sustainable fashion in NYC, fueled my love of making clothes and artisan crafts. Somewhere along the line I took up running to be healthier and found that it really allowed me to focus on my breath and check-in with my mind and body. It has been my outlet to stay grounded, connect with nature, and balance out my (sometimes stressful) day-to-day life.

I started writing about sustainable fashion on my blog, Ethical Fashion Nerd, in 2016, and continue to use this platform as an outlet to share my sustainable textile and fashion creations, my running adventures, and living a conscious lifestyle.
